Rising trends over the last two years indicate that distribution channels for the music industry are changing. People of all ages are listening online.

Listeners are switching to digital streaming and on-demand services that allow them to “catch” the songs they like so they can replay them later. However, the major players in the music streaming market are essentially music supermarkets. Real connoisseurs would never be content with a supermarket’s product range. They are drawn to specialty stores instead. In the same way, real music lovers prefer curated and controlled music content that they can listen to for hours on end – at work, in the car and on public transport. A group of enthusiasts approached us with an idea for this kind of music streaming service.


JuJu Media recognised the need for a new style music streaming service to cater for a more discerning audience. Thus, MusicHub was born.

MusicHub offers more than 40 channels of handpicked electronic music played in high quality sound (up to 320 kbps). Channel curators seek out the best tracks to include in the channel play queue and update it constantly. That way, listeners can enjoy fresh tunes every day. We also host regular live broadcasts from famous clubs and electronic music festivals around the world. This gives listeners the chance to immerse themselves in a nightclub atmosphere. MusicHub’s user-friendly interface and navigation means users can easily create their own profiles and choose how they listen to music. There are options to skip, rewind, fast-forward and repeat tracks, as well as the capacity to save favourite tracks and create playlists. The full functionality is accessible through subscriptions, which are realized through integration with a secure Stripe payment gateway.
MusicHub is also a social network for music aficionados. They can connect with friends by inviting them via email or social networks. Our system also constantly matches users with people who have similar interests and the same taste in music, so they can find new friends who share their passions. An internal messenger function allows them to easily connect and deepen their musical bond. Responsive web design means our web pages adapt easily to different screen sizes and devices, be it a desktop, smartphone or tablet. As 95% of music listening is now done on mobile devices, we are working hard on developing iOS, Android and car apps to make the service accessible anywhere and everywhere.
